Our client is a well known and successful national house builder and this opportunity is for their Regional office in Hampshire. Due to growth, they are looking to appoint a Strategic Technical Manager to work closely with their Strategic Land team. The role is incredibly diverse and would suit someone from either an existing Technical Management background within a developer or an individual from a consultancy civil engineering background. Coming from either background, the successful candidate will gain a level of exposure to the development lifecycle not easily achieved in most disciplines.
Roles and Responsibilities include:
Co-ordinate all technical input for residential developments to support the strategic land and planning team in advance of purchase and for development by the regional team.
To assist with the appointment of the external professional/consultant team and project manage professional Project Manage and agree list of potential consultants and review consultant proposals.
Chair monthly design team meetings.
Arrange and co-ordinate legal agreements relating to highways, drainage, services, wayleaves and easements as necessary.
Assist with land acquisition report.
Review collaboration agreements.
Prepare and administer programme of advance matters required to achieve site commencement by the region in conjunction with the land and planning team.
Manage the design team in relation to S278 agreements and works; S38Drainage, any agreements required to commence and service developments such as temporary access requirements, construction access requirements or procurement of drainage discharge conditions.
Arrange reports, surveys and investigations.
